How to Configure Appointment Reminders

The ability to set appointment reminders is an important feature for any practice that wants to ensure that clients don't miss their appointments. This can include sending reminders via email or text message and customizing the message and timing of the reminders.

How to Configure Appointment Reminders

  1. Open the Calendar

  2. Click the Clock Icon located in the top Calendar toolbar

  3. Configure reminder timing

  4. Select reminder delivery options

  5. Save the reminder settings


Reminder Timing Rules

Users can configure how many hours before the appointment reminders should be sent.

Important:
• 24-hour reminders do not allow clients to confirm or cancel appointments electronically
• To allow electronic confirmation or cancellation, reminders must be configured for more than 24 hours before the appointment


Reminder Delivery Methods

• Email
• SMS, if enabled


Best Practices

• Verify client contact information regularly
• Test reminder workflows after configuration
• Use reminders longer than 24 hours when appointment confirmations are required
